STEVE DUNN (LAND MANAGER)
Steven R. Dunn joined Texas Royalty Corp as Land Manager in the spring of 2009. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the land department as well as negotiating agreements with partners and investors.
Steve brings fifteen years of success as Company Landman, Project Landman, Divison Land Manager and Consulting Landman to his position at Texas Royalty Corp. He has worked at Getty Oil Company, Tenneco Oil Company and Lear Petroleum Corporation, managing multiple field brokerage crews, negotiating agreements for multi-rig and multi-well drilling programs across the United States. As a Consulting Landman working primarily with Champion Resources, Inc., he performed due diligence reviews for asset transfers and provided valuations of undeveloped leasehold and mineral rights for numerous Master Limited Partnership rollups, as well as land work for Denver International Airport. At John L. Moore & Company, Steve worked as a Federal Unitization Consultant, specializing in the formation and operation of Federal Oil & Gas Exploratory Units. Steve started his career as a roughneck for Luke Grace Drilling Company in Wichita Falls, Texas, rounding out his oil and gas experience.
Immediately prior to joining Texas Royalty, Steve spent sixteen years as Vice President, Partner and Program Manager at The Arizpe Group, Inc., an Engineering and Architectural design firm providing services to public works projects at the Federal, State, County and City government levels. He was involved in all facets of the business, from overall company management, to program and project management for engineering projects, to consulting work as an applications developer for engineering program management systems, as well as serving as the company’s IT manager.
Steve is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, earning a BBA in Business Administration in Petroleum Land Management and Real Estate and Urban Development. He is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen, Austin Professional Landmen’s Association, and Houston Association of Professional Landmen.
JANNA FAIN (LANDMAN/MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS)
Janna Fain has been a contract Landman for Texas Royalty Corp since 2006. She is responsible for both in-house and field land-work, including title searches, curative, leasing, farm-ins and farm-outs, joint operating agreements and participation agreements. A native of Tyler, Texas, she began her oil and gas career as soon as she graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Finance. She spent five years as an Independent Petroleum Landman, working in almost every county in the East Texas area. Her clients ranged from small independents to Exxon Company, USA.
After more than years as a sales and marketing executive in the “corporate world”—and as owner of her own consulting firms—Janna returned to the oil and gas business in 2006. In addition to landwork, she uses her extensive sales and marketing expertise to assist Texas Royalty with Public Relations and Marketing. Janna’s goal in every endeavor is to negotiate a win/win for all parties involved.
Janna is a member of the Austin Professional Landmen’s Association.
CHRISTINA HARMAN (LAND ASSISTANT)
KELLY KEATHLEY (OFFICE MANAGER)
Born in Houston, Kelly attended Sam Houston State University, earning a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in 1991. Her business background has been very valuable in her work with Texas Royalty Corp. She began work after college in 1992 with Data Control and Procurement for John Brown Engineers. Prior to coming to Texas Royalty, she worked for Dolce International/Lakeway Resort & Conference Center as the Assistant to the Director of Engineering from 1999-2001.
Kelly has lived in Austin for 10 years, and has been the Office Manager for TRC since 2001. Her experience and versatility allow her to function effectively across all disciplines within our office. Her main duties include royalty relations, accounting, and the general administration of Texas Royalty business.
GARY McLAIN (FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER)
Gary has been with Texas Royalty Corp since 1992. He is in charge of all our field operations in Leon and Freestone Counties and has been instrumental in optimizing our production in these counties with hard work and ingenuity. Gary lives in Buffalo, Texas, which is central to the oil and gas fields he helps Texas Royalty operate. He is married and enjoys running a karaoke function a couple of nights a week with his wife. Gary also loves riding his motorcycle and can brag that he has ridden in each of the lower 48 states.
